With a burning desire to do great things for Jesus—which I know we all have, or you wouldn’t be reading this—I sometimes wrestle with a fear.

Sometimes I’m afraid of fully surrendering my will to God, like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:42). Have you ever felt that way? Afraid that if you truly submit, His plans won’t be as grand as the desires in your heart? That His vision for your following or impact might not be as large as yours? That if you let go of your idea of success, you might not bear as much fruit as you hoped?

I want to encourage you today: You were created to bear much fruit. Jesus says in John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” God designed you for fruitfulness, and the fruit you’re meant to bear is tailor-made for you—custom-crafted by the Creator Himself. It won’t look like someone else’s fruit but will be uniquely yours, meant for such a time as this.

How Do You Truly Bear Much Fruit?

1. Submit to His Pruning

The process of bearing fruit starts with allowing the Lord to shape and mold you. John 15:2 tells us, “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” This means submitting your will to His daily—not just in big moments but in the small, everyday choices. It’s a moment-by-moment walk with the Lord, living with an open heart before Him; in reverence, repentance, and obedience.

2. Abide in Him

When we remain in Christ, we bear fruit. And as that fruit grows, the Vinedresser prunes us so that we can bear even more. This refining process may not always be comfortable, but it is necessary for greater growth and impact. Psalm 1:3 describes the one who abides in the Lord as “like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.”

3. Release Control

I know what it’s like to hold onto a dream so tightly, afraid to release it to God because I fear losing control. I remember what He told me. I remember the vision I saw and the deep conviction I felt. But when I can’t see where things are going—when the next step is unclear, or I can’t perceive what He’s doing—I’m tempted to clutch my dream even harder. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Yet, what brings peace is knowing that I am already designed to bear much fruit. My job isn’t to force an outcome but to abide in Him. To trust that His way leads to the fruit I was created to produce—the kind that is uniquely mine.

Standing Out as a Creative Entrepreneur

In a crowded online space, the most powerful way to stand out is to embrace what God has placed within you. The seed He has planted in your life is meant to grow under His care. As you walk with Him daily, fully surrendered, He nurtures that seed into the fruit that will impact others in a way only you can.

Galatians 6:9 encourages us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Your harvest is coming—keep abiding, keep trusting, and keep allowing God to prune and shape you.

Let Go and Let Jesus In

So today, I encourage you to loosen your grip. Stop trying to control every outcome because you long for a grand life. Instead, let Jesus in. Apart from Him, we can do nothing, and without Him, we bear no fruit. But when we abide in Him, we flourish in ways beyond our imagination. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Let go, trust Him, and watch as the fruit He designed for you begins to flourish.
